The Hardest Part of Being a CEO

There’s no question that being a CEO is one of the most demanding jobs out there. But what is the hardest part?

The hardest part of being a CEO is having to operate in the shadows of your past. As a CEO, you are constantly under the microscope and your every move is scrutinized. This can be especially difficult if you were promoted from within the company, as you may have to deal with disappointed supporters and former peers. Additionally, you are responsible for overseeing major changes within the company and managing the outgoing CEO. All of these factors can make being a CEO extremely challenging.

Many CEOs feel a great deal of stress due to the important duties they have, the long hours they work, the constant travel, and the pressure to perform. A recent study revealed that the major emotions a CEO feels are frustration and disappointment, irritation, and overwhelm.
