Privacy Policy

Learn what information Melbado processes when you visit the website or test a newsletter signup.

Last updated: August 28, 2026.

This policy explains what information Melbado processes when you use this website, its free leadership newsletter forms, and its learning library.

Who is responsible

Responsible for data processing: Melbado

Privacy contact: [email protected]

Newsletter signup forms

When you submit a newsletter form, your email address and technical information needed to process the signup are sent to MailerLite, which manages the subscriber list on Melbado's behalf. MailerLite sends a confirmation email, and the address becomes an active newsletter subscription only after confirmation.

To help you verify and correct the address and open the appropriate inbox, the website also saves the submitted address temporarily in your browser's local storage. This temporary copy expires after 15 minutes and is removed when the confirmation guidance page reads it. It is not placed in the page URL.

Melbado uses the address to manage and, when publishing begins, send Leadership in 10. You can unsubscribe through the link included in each newsletter. For more information about MailerLite's processing, see its privacy policy.

Information processed automatically

Like most hosted websites, the infrastructure serving Melbado may process technical request information needed for security and delivery, such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, and request time. Hosting providers may retain limited logs under their own operational and security policies.

Quizzes and assessments

Leadership quizzes run without an account. Melbado does not currently save quiz answers or results to a user profile or database. Results are educational reflections, not psychological diagnoses or employment assessments.

Cookies and analytics

Melbado uses Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Google Analytics helps us understand page visits, navigation, device and browser categories, approximate location, and which content is useful. Google may process this information and set analytics cookies under its own privacy policy.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are disabled in the website’s Google tag. If you choose “No thanks,” the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the website can remember it.

You can reopen the consent controls through “Analytics choices” in the website footer and withdraw permission for future measurement. Essential hosting or security infrastructure may still use strictly necessary technology to deliver and protect the service.

External links

Articles and assessment methodology may link to research publishers and other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

How information is used

Subscriber information, technical information, and consented analytics may be used to operate and secure the website and newsletter, manage subscriptions, diagnose errors, understand whether the product is useful, and improve its content and design. Melbado does not currently sell personal information.

Data retention

Newsletter subscription records are retained in MailerLite while a subscription remains active and as reasonably necessary to maintain consent, unsubscribe, suppression, security, and compliance records. Analytics retention is controlled in the connected Google Analytics property. Retention of infrastructure and security logs depends on the relevant provider's configuration.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a newsletter and contact Melbado about another data request.

Children

Melbado is intended for a general professional audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when Melbado introduces a database or materially changes how information is processed.
